Florida Decorative Concrete uses materials like Portercrete which is a high quality product for our Spray Decking. Spray Decking has many steps depending on the existing concrete conditions. There are five steps to complete the process with perfect conditions.
1. Pressure Wash the existing concrete to clean and remove dirt, oils and surface grime.
2. Grind cracks and seal. We do this to prevent moisture from coming up and cause delamination.
3. Apply a float coat. We do this to cover the old pool deck to have a base to work from. Tape a pattern if requested.
4. Apply a spray texture. We do this by spraying the material out of a Hopper Gun. Next, we knock down the material with a trowel when the material is ready.
5. Roll on two coats of color stain.
